Hate Crime Awareness Week – Have Your Say in Bolton |

Dear All, Hate Crime Awareness Week is here – and we want to hear from you! As Hate Crime Awareness Week begins, Bolton Neighbourhood Watch is asking residents across the borough to take part in our Hate Crime – Community Experience and Reporting Survey. Our message is simple:
We all have a part to play in building safer, more inclusive communities where everyone feels respected, supported and confident that their concerns will be taken seriously. We want to build a better understanding of people's awareness and experiences of hate crime and hate-related incidents, whether they have personally experienced something, know someone who has, or have views about how hate crime is addressed within our communities. Your responses will help us understand: You do not need to have experienced hate crime yourself to take part. We welcome responses from everyone, regardless of age, background, beliefs or personal circumstances. A broad and diverse range of responses will help us build a more representative picture of experiences and perceptions across Bolton.
Take a few minutes to have your sayComplete the survey here: The survey closes at midnight on Tuesday 10 November 2026.
Please share the survey and spread the wordTo help us reach as many people as possible, please share the survey with your: Please don't assume that someone else's voice will be the same as yours. Everyone's experiences, perspectives and concerns are different, and we want to hear from people across all parts of our community, including those who may not normally take part in surveys. The more widely we share the survey, the greater the opportunity to hear from people with different backgrounds and experiences.
What happens to the results?Bolton Neighbourhood Watch is a community-led organisation and part of the Neighbourhood Watch Network. We work with communities and local partners to help create safer, stronger and more connected neighbourhoods. The findings will be published through our monthly newsletter and shared with our community partners to help inform discussions and support the continued development of the Bolton Hate Crime Action Plan. No personal data is collected through the survey. Please do not include names, addresses or other identifying details in any free-text answers.
No Place For Hate – let's make a difference together
Hate crime affects individuals, families and communities. By sharing our experiences, listening to one another and identifying where improvements are needed, we can help build a better understanding of the issues and encourage greater confidence in reporting. Please complete the survey, share it widely and help ensure that Bolton's diverse communities have an opportunity to be heard.
Thank you for your time, your support and your commitment to making Bolton a safer, more inclusive place for everyone. Kind regards, Bolton Neighbourhood Watch We make this a better place to live. Together. |
